How long have you been in business?
I established the business 15+ years ago as a Kitchen Tune-Up franchise. I am now an independent business and general contractor, License # 709202.
What is your primary product or service?
I am a StarMark cabinet dealer, which is a high quality semi-custom cabinet line. We also offer cabinet refacing and low-cost cabinet restoration.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I enjoyed running a complete remodel of my home in the 1980's and, when laid off from a high tech position in 1994, I decided to start a remodeling business. Earlier I was in product development at Xerox for their LAN systems. I have a BS from UCLA and worked for Scientific Data Systems and Xerox for 27 years.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We offer award-winning custom kitchen design and high quality product choices for our cabinet services. I am a member of NARI and a Certified Kitchen & Bath Remodeler.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One location in Mountain View and no plans to expand.

My office with a small cabinet display is at the corner of Old Middlefield Way and Siera Vista Ave (near 101) in Mountain View.
What type of payments do you accept?
Preferably checks, but also accept credit cards.
Which areas do you service?
Our customers are primarily in the mid-peninsula area near Mountain View, but we have done large projects in many areas of Santa Clara and San Mateo counties.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
I am the sole proprietor and carry general liability and workman's compensation insurance.
